  My wife went to gymboree recently with a store merchandise credit. We had returned a gift item and received the store credit. Surprisingly, when we went to spend the store credit, we were told we couldn't use that with the gymboree bucks which we had because we had spent a boatload at the store. This makes absolutely no sense because the store credit we got had nothing to do with the gymboree bucks and should have been used just like CASH since that is what the items were bought with that we returned. To make matters worse, the woman at the store was down right rude about it. It is one thing to explain a store policy (even if it is ridiculous) and it is another to be nasty about it. Apparently they haven't got the memo that customer service is about being kind and professional to customers. Fortunately, there are several other baby clothing stores in the outlet mall so it will be just as easy to go down a few stores to Carters or one of the other stores that have always treated us nicely.
